The New York Times: Auctioning Off a Dead Mall

I am honored to share that Auctioning Off a Dead Mall for The New York Times has been named one of the year’s best by the American Photography 37 Photo Annual for editorial photography.

How will the pandemic accelerate the retail apocalypse? When a mall closes, where does all of it’s stuff go? I set out to answer these questions at the recently shuttered Metrocenter mall in Phoenix, AZ.
